One of my passions has always been music. The fact that there is such a diverse choice of music that can express how you feel, share culture and tell stories has always amazed me. While growing up I had gone through many music genres, from listening to traditional Spanish music when I was little. My emo phase in middle school and my music taste showed that. Growing up I would always hear people say certain songs sound better live and I always wondered what that felt like. Some of my favorite artists would release live versions of their songs on Spotify and I would have them on repeat. The first live version I fell in love with was Waste The Night by 5 Seconds of Summer. I wanted to hear it live so bad that I would do anything for it. Luckily growing up in such a big city many artists would visit and play there all the time, so I had to take advantage of it.

I, like many others, like to photograph and video some special moments at concerts. A worry of mine was not having the right equipment to get high quality pictures. However, I later came to realize that I didn’t need to get the fanciest camera to do that. I was able to use the camera on my iPhone to get high quality images. I also downloaded apps such as Huji Cam, to get different settings with the same camera on my phone. This also saved me a lot of issues, because certain venues have strict policy about bringing cameras in. This picture were all taken off of my iPhone 8 Plus, which has been out for a while. It goes to show you don’t need the newest models to get high quality pictures. After the concerts, I would go back and mess with the saturation, highlights, and other settings to make them look a lot better.

I have been to seven concerts and one music festival. I have seen Waterparks, The Chainsmokers, 5 Seconds of Summer, Harry Styles, PinkSweat$, and went to Austin City Limits in 2021. I would like to go to more concerts, but ever since COVID hit getting back into the swing of everything has been different. I also feel like getting tickets so any concert is much harder now since everyone wants to attend too. However, I am still constantly on the lookout for any artist on tour.
